STYLISED 3D PUZZLE-ADVENTURE GAME
In the wake of her father’s death, Maya enters the House of Wisdom, a dreamlike sanctuary filled with centuries of knowledge. By transforming elements with the help of a mysterious device, she must decipher ancient puzzles created by historical scholars. Each door she opens brings her closer to understanding her father's legacy… but unveiling the past means unleashing the shadows within. Maya must find the light to forge her own path through grief.
The House of Hikmah is a narrative-driven 3D adventure game exploring grief, legacy and the search for answers after profound loss. Solve puzzles, encounter historical scholars of the Islamic Golden Age, and uncover timeless lessons in a beautifully imagined House of Wisdom.
Visual Development // Environment & Prop Design
The individual spaces & props for which I was responsible in this game were all designed for their specific characters: all fantastically reimagined versions of historically-based scholars. This came with a ton of fascinating research & reference gathering, and a collaborative process of finding the best combination of those cultural and historical roots, the needs and personalities of the characters, and the fantastical world we built.
Most of this preliminary sketching and painting was done in Photoshop, occasionally bolstered by Blender graybox models.

When dogkind is threatened by the unprecedented rise of the Moon, a pack of guard dogs must rely on a gutsy chihuahua to pilot their giant canine mecha to victory. Responsible for background designs & paint in addition to prop design & paint for the central villainous object and beloved stick belonging to one of the innocent bystanders. A passion project brought to you by a dedicated team of industry professionals.
